Reported on February 6, NVIDIA may not release any new gaming graphics cards in 2026 due to a shortage of memory chips, marking its first full year without new gaming graphics card releases in nearly three decades. NVIDIA has completed the design of the RTX 50 Super series graphics cards, but due to the memory chip shortage, it has lowered the production priority of this product, prioritizing the memory supply for AI chips. Meanwhile, NVIDIA is also reducing the production volume of the currently available GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards. Affected by the supply-demand imbalance, the prices of high-end graphics cards such as the RTX 5090 have soared. If memory supply improves in the future, NVIDIA may resume the release of gaming chips.
