On February 5, Infineon informed its customers that the demand for its power switches and integrated circuit (IC) products has soared, primarily driven by the expansion of AI data centers, resulting in supply shortages. To address this situation and expand production capacity, the company needs to make additional investments in wafer fabrication facilities. Moreover, there has been a notable rise in the costs of raw materials and infrastructure. Consequently, Infineon has decided to implement price hikes for specific products, effective April 1, 2026. These new prices will be applicable to both new orders and orders that have been placed but not yet shipped as of April 1.
