The analog chip producer, SiTime, is set to purchase Renesas Electronics' timing business for roughly US$2.9 billion, with the payment made in a combination of cash and stock. According to reports, this deal represents SiTime's most significant acquisition thus far. The transaction is anticipated to be finalized by the close of 2026.
