Recently, Zhejiang University and Hangzhou Xiwang Xinke Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. inked a strategic cooperation pact to launch the 'Zhejiang University-Xiwang Joint R&D Center for Intelligent Computing'. Drawing on the academic strengths, talent pool, and research infrastructure of Zhejiang University's College of Integrated Circuits, along with China's sole 12-inch integrated circuit full-process technology public R&D platform that bridges industry and academia across the nation's universities, the center is poised to propel the commercialization and practical deployment of university research findings. This will be achieved by aligning with real-world industrial application scenarios. Earlier, Xiwang unveiled its latest inference GPU chip, the Qiwang S3, and secured strategic funding totaling nearly 3 billion yuan. This partnership is set to further fuel its progress in the realm of artificial intelligence computing capabilities.
