A research team hailing from the Institute of Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, working in tandem with Peking University and other esteemed institutions, has made a groundbreaking discovery. Through experiments conducted on the superconducting chip dubbed 'Zhuangzi 2.0', they have identified a transient yet relatively stable and controllable pre-thermalization intermediate phase and pattern within the thermalization process of quantum systems. Grasping the intricacies of this pattern is instrumental in devising controllable quantum operations, prolonging the lifespan of quantum states, bolstering the practical viability of quantum computing, and opening up avenues for the preservation of quantum information. The pertinent findings have been duly published in the prestigious journal Nature.
