University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Persistently Unveils Research Breakthroughs in High-Performance Semiconductor Lasers

Recently, the research team led by Professor Wu Jiang and Researcher Ren Aobo from the Institute of Fundamental and Frontier Sciences at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China has made a series of impressive research disclosures. Their work focuses on high-power, high-speed single-mode 1064 nm VCSEL laser sources designed for optical interconnection applications. These findings have been successively published in two prestigious journals.

One publication appeared in Information & Functional Materials, a new high-impact journal that forms part of the China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan within the information field. The other was featured in Optics Letters, an internationally acclaimed journal in the optics community.

Notably, doctoral candidate Zhang Xuhao and master's student Wang Yihua served as the lead authors for these two papers, respectively. The University of Electronic Science and Technology of China is credited as the primary research institution for both studies.
