Recently, AMD is gearing up to introduce a processor with the codename Gorgon Halo. This processor is an upgraded iteration of the Strix Halo series and is anticipated to make its debut under the Ryzen AI Max 400 series banner.

Gorgon Halo will keep the core architecture intact, featuring the Zen 5 CPU, RDNA 3.5 integrated GPU (iGPU), and XDNA 2 Neural Processing Unit (NPU). Its main approach to boosting performance is by increasing the operating frequencies of both the CPU and the integrated GPU, all while keeping power consumption at the same level.

The top - tier model in this series is projected to stick with a 16 - core, 32 - thread setup. The frequency of the integrated graphics acceleration is expected to climb from 2.9GHz to close to, or even reach, 3.1GHz. Correspondingly, the CPU core frequency will also see an upward adjustment.
