Recently, the gaming enthusiast ComplexSupermarket89 accomplished an impressive feat by creatively repurposing an old MSI RTX 3080 Ventus graphics card cooler into a cooling solution derived from a car audio amplifier. This innovative modification not only resolved the persistent overheating problems plaguing the graphics card but also gave it a sleek, upgraded appearance. Initially, the graphics card's memory and hotspot temperatures soared to alarming levels, reaching up to 102°C and 105°C, respectively. However, post-modification, a significant drop in GPU temperature was observed, with the hotspot temperature experiencing a reduction of at least 20°C. The transformation process entailed meticulously cutting the cooler to the precise dimensions required, applying a coat of white heat-resistant enamel paint for a polished look, crafting a custom front panel and fan shroud, and ultimately replacing the original cooling setup with three vibrant 92mm RGB fans. Additionally, to safeguard the motherboard's PCIe slot from potential damage, a sturdy 90-degree steel bracket was incorporated for added reinforcement.
