Shunsuke Nakago, the Executive Director of Kioxia's Memory Business Division, disclosed that Kioxia's NAND flash memory production capacity for the year 2026 has been entirely secured by customers. In simpler terms, the entire inventory has already been sold out, and this situation is projected to persist into 2027. Although some transaction prices have witnessed a year-on-year surge exceeding 30%, Kioxia has refrained from implementing a 'highest bidder wins' approach. Instead, the company has opted for a 'gentleman's agreement' cooperation model with its long-standing partners.
