On January 20, the Shandong Port 2026 Annual Scientific and Technological Innovation Conference took place in Qingdao. During the event, the phased accomplishments of the National Artificial Intelligence Base were revealed, along with the introduction of China's inaugural AI chip designed specifically for ports—the 'Shangang Zhixin Xingyu SA5200'. This cutting-edge chip, a collaborative effort between Shandong Port, the National Engineering Research Center for Video and Visual Technology at Peking University, Boya Ruishi, and other esteemed institutions, tackles critical challenges within the port sector. It boasts four key strengths: the ability to facilitate multi-source perception fusion in complex environments; an embedded super compression engine that boosts compression efficiency; a high-performance heterogeneous processing core ensuring low-power consumption; and a self-developed, fully localized algorithm stack that substantially enhances overall energy efficiency.
