Recently, the Amsterdam Court of Appeal in the Netherlands convened a hearing to deliberate on whether to launch a formal inquiry into allegations of mismanagement at Nexperia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wingtech Technology. The courtroom was packed with over thirty legal representatives, including lawyers and legal advisors, alongside a substantial number of journalists. However, Zhang Xuezheng, the former CEO of Nexperia, was conspicuously absent from the proceedings. The genesis of this hearing can be traced back to the Dutch government's intervention, which took over Nexperia on September 30, 2025, citing concerns over 'national security'. In a swift follow-up move, on October 7, the Dutch Enterprise Court temporarily relieved Zhang Xuezheng of his duties and divested Wingtech Technology of its controlling stake in Nexperia. The upcoming ruling from this hearing will either affirm or overturn the previous decision, with the court expected to announce its verdict prior to February 11.
