This year, global hyperscale cloud service providers have entered a period of intensive architectural upgrades, accelerating the phase-out of older models in favor of new platforms. This has resulted in nearly sold-out annual production capacity for server CPUs from both AMD and Intel. To address the supply-demand imbalance and ensure stable supply, both companies plan to raise server CPU prices by 10% to 15%. Server CPU shipments are expected to grow by 25% this year, providing opportunities for both companies to expand their data center businesses. KeyBanc predicts that server shipments will increase by 2% quarter-over-quarter in the first quarter of 2026, with total annual shipments growing by 16% to 17%.
