Recently, the Intelligent Fiber Optic Systems Lab, led by Professor Yilin Yi at the School of Integrated Circuits, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, has achieved a notable breakthrough in the realm of ultrafast optical measurement. The research team has ingeniously combined Linear Spectral Shearing Interferometry (LSSI) with AI technology to create the Intelligent Single-Frame Full-Field Characterization (ISFC) technique. This innovative approach surmounts the limitations of traditional femtosecond pulse measurement methods, which are heavily reliant on nonlinear effects and constrained by speed limitations. The ISFC technique allows for high-precision, single-frame, full-field (intensity and phase) measurement of pico-joule-level weak femtosecond pulses.
