During Week 49 of 2025, insights from German retailer Mindfactory unveiled a significant downturn for Intel, as its CPU revenue share dipped below the 5% mark for the very first time, marking what is likely its lowest point in recent memory. In stark contrast, its arch-rival, AMD, asserted its dominance with an unwavering overall market share of 93.6% and an even more impressive revenue share of 95.05%.
When it comes to sales volume, the disparity was equally striking. Mindfactory reported selling nearly 3,655 AMD CPUs, a stark contrast to the mere 250 Intel CPUs that found buyers. Delving deeper, the Arrow Lake series managed to sell a paltry 40 units, while the LGA 1700 platform fared slightly better with around 200 units sold. Notably, none of these Intel offerings managed to break into the top 30 bestsellers. In a clear display of market preference, the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D reigned supreme, with a staggering 1,290 units sold within a single week.
Furthermore, data gleaned from Amazon's U.S. website revealed a similar trend, with sales of select AMD products eclipsing the cumulative sales of Intel's entire CPU range.
