On December 8, 2025, Intel and Tata Electronics signed a memorandum of understanding in Mumbai, India, announcing the establishment of a strategic alliance to jointly build India's chip and computing ecosystem. The two parties plan to leverage Tata Electronics' upcoming wafer fabrication plant and OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) facilities to locally manufacture and package Intel products in India, and explore AVP technology collaboration. Additionally, the two sides will explore opportunities to promote customized AI PC solutions in India's consumer and enterprise markets.
