Data from the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reveals that, propelled by burgeoning AI demand, global semiconductor sales soared to US$71.3 billion in October 2025, marking a substantial 33% year-on-year increase. Notably, DRAM sales emerged as the standout performer, rocketing up by a remarkable 90% year-on-year to reach US$12.82 billion (roughly equivalent to RMB 90.6 billion). This surge positioned DRAM as the primary catalyst driving the overall growth in global semiconductor sales.
