Recently, in the update log for version 2025.7 of VTune Profiler, Intel's official performance analysis tool, there was an explicit first-time mention of support for the Intel Arc Battlemage (BMG-G31) graphics card. This news serves as a strong indicator that the graphics card has reached the final stages prior to its launch.

In the update log, the BMG-G31 was listed alongside the Panther Lake mobile processor. The latter is slated for release at CES 2026 on January 5, 2026. This has led to speculation that the graphics card could make its debut alongside the new processor. Although there were whispers suggesting that the BMG-G31 might hit the market by the end of 2025, Intel has yet to engage in any preheat (pre-launch promotion) activities. This lack of promotion significantly diminishes the likelihood of a 2025 release.

According to unofficial specifications, the BMG-G31 is a high-end offering within the Battlemage architecture. It is expected to boast up to 32 Xe2 cores, marking an approximate 60% increase compared to the B580. Additionally, it will come equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, featuring a 256-bit bandwidth, and will support a full PCIe 5.0 x16 interface.

If priced between $300 and $400 and delivering the anticipated performance, this graphics card has the potential to emerge as a formidable competitor to NVIDIA's RTX 5060 and AMD's RX 9060 series graphics cards. Moreover, this GPU may also find its way into the Arc Pro series, with a single-card version supporting 32GB of memory.

Should the BMG-G31 be unveiled at CES 2026, it could potentially become the sole desktop graphics card product showcased during the event. Previously, there were reports indicating a delay for the RTX 50 SUPER, and AMD Radeon has not yet revealed any plans to launch new products.
