Intel's Wildcat Lake architecture hasn't been officially rolled out yet. However, its specifications have been inadvertently disclosed, and whispers about its Refresh iteration have also started to circulate. Catering to the budget-conscious segment, Wildcat Lake sits below the Panther Lake architecture and is tailored specifically for entry-level laptops. Its market debut is anticipated in either the first or second quarter of 2026.

This architecture boasts a design comprising 2 performance cores (P-cores) and 4 low-power efficiency cores (LP-cores). It seamlessly integrates 2 Xe-scale GPUs, offers 6 PCIe 4.0 lanes, and is equipped with 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports. Furthermore, it supports LPDDR5x/DDR5 memory and delivers an NPU computing prowess of up to 18 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second).

The Refresh version of this architecture is set to introduce a novel CPU configuration of 4P+0E+4LP (4 Performance cores + 0 Efficiency cores + 4 Low-Power Efficiency cores), bringing the total core count to an impressive 8 cores. The GPU in this iteration will feature up to 2 Xe3 cores, boast an AI computing capability of up to 40 TOPS, and offer a maximum of 6 PCIe 4.0 lanes. Market watchers expect this enhanced version to make its grand entrance between 2027 and 2028.
