Market analysts have revealed that Apple may outsource the production of some entry-level M7 chips to Intel's U.S.-based wafer fab starting from 2027, aiming to diversify its supply chain and respond to the Trump administration's policy of bringing manufacturing back to the U.S. Currently, the M-series chips for Mac and iPad are all manufactured by TSMC. If the plan proceeds smoothly, the M7 chips produced by Intel are expected to be used in products such as iPads and MacBooks two years later, although high-end chips are still anticipated to be supplied by TSMC.
