Given the skyrocketing prices of memory chips, graphics card maker AMD has informed its partners that they need to hike graphics card prices by a minimum of 10%. This constitutes the second price hike in the near future. In contrast, NVIDIA has discontinued the practice of selling GPUs with bundled memory, giving its AIC (Add-in-Card) partners the freedom to acquire memory on their own.
