Following its takeover of control over Nexperia, the Netherlands has started to exhibit indications of offering concessions to China. As per reports, Nexperia has recommenced the shipment of certain vital chips. A representative from Germany's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (Note: Germany reorganized its economic and energy ministries into the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action in 2021, here using the more accurate and updated ministry name) mentioned that the tension between the Netherlands and China has subsided, and ongoing negotiations are a positive sign. The ministry expresses its hope that short-term, individual permits will be promptly granted to relevant enterprises, thereby reinstating the chip supply from Nexperia.
