Nexperia China released a statement revealing that, as of October 26, Nexperia Semiconductor in the Netherlands has discontinued wafer supplies to its packaging and testing facility in Dongguan. The assertion that 'local management failed to adhere to payment terms' is entirely baseless. Nexperia China has not violated any contractual obligations; rather, it is Dutch Nexperia that owes a staggering 1 billion yuan in unsettled dues. The pertinent management team has neglected their responsibilities, and the supply halt is in direct violation of the existing agreement. Nexperia China maintains adequate inventory levels and has implemented contingency measures to safeguard supply continuity. Furthermore, the Netherlands has unlawfully seized control of Nexperia Semiconductor, a subsidiary of Wingtech Technology. Wingtech Technology has called for the reinstatement of its former CEO to facilitate the resumption of exports from China, vehemently denying any misconduct. The Netherlands' actions have not only strained Sino-Dutch relations but also disrupted the global automotive supply chain. Nexperia Semiconductor is currently seeking an exemption from the imposed restrictions; however, the timeline for supply resumption remains uncertain. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reiterated its stance against the politicization of economic and trade matters.
