South Korean media outlets have reported that Micron might need to overhaul the chip architecture of its HBM4 products. This necessity arises from challenges in meeting NVIDIA's stringent performance and power consumption criteria. Should these reports hold true, Micron's plans for mass-producing HBM4 would be set back by nine months. Consequently, achieving large-scale production within 2026 appears doubtful, and there's a looming risk of Micron missing out on securing orders from NVIDIA.
