Citing sources familiar with the matter, The Information reported on Tuesday that Skyworks Solutions, a supplier of radio frequency chips for smartphone makers such as Apple, has engaged in talks to acquire its rival Qorvo in recent months. According to data from the London Stock Exchange Group, Qorvo currently has a market capitalization of $8.54 billion, while Skyworks has a market capitalization of $11.26 billion. As of 2024, Skyworks employs over 10,000 people. At present, neither company has responded to requests for comment, and Reuters has not verified the authenticity of the report.
