On October 23, Tesla unveiled its financial results for the third quarter of 2025, revealing revenue of $28.1 billion, marking a 12% increase year-on-year, though net profit saw a 37% decline over the same period. During the earnings conference call, Musk announced that Tesla will implement a 'dual foundry' strategy, enlisting both Samsung and TSMC to manufacture its AI5 chip. This move aims to safeguard supply reliability and facilitate technological advancements. Musk further clarified that the internally developed chip is not meant to supplant Nvidia’s products; instead, it is designed to work in tandem with Nvidia’s GPUs, collectively meeting Tesla’s autonomous driving and data center requirements.
