Fueled by both supportive policies and dynamic market forces, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) along with restructuring initiatives among listed companies have taken on a notably vibrant tone. Based on data from Wind Information, up until October 21 and calculated by the initial announcement date, the A-share market has unveiled a total of 3,632 M&A and restructuring cases this year. This marks a year-on-year uptick of 6.45%. Within this figure, 139 cases pertain to significant asset restructuring, showcasing a substantial year-on-year surge of 65.48%. The bulk of M&A and restructuring activities are centered around 'hard-tech' domains, including mechanical equipment, semiconductors, and pharmaceutical biology.
