On September 23rd, news emerged that Sophie, who previously served as a chip architect at Intel, has officially assumed the roles of Tenured Professor, Xinghua Chair Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Integrated Circuits, Tsinghua University. Sophie completed her undergraduate studies in Automation at Tsinghua University in 1999 and went on to earn her master's degree in the same field in 2001. In 2006, she obtained her Ph.D. from Duke University in the United States. From 2006 to 2025, Sophie was employed at Intel. Her primary research domains encompass chip testing and full - lifecycle management. The results of her research have been applied to numerous chip products, and she has been granted several international patents. Additionally, she has been actively involved in the development of IEEE international technical standards. Currently, she holds the positions of Senior Member of IEEE and Associate Editor of IEEE Design & Test.
