Buoyed by positive outlooks from multiple institutions on the future of traditional storage, memory behemoths have collectively rolled out price increases. On Monday, Samsung implemented significant price hikes for its memory and flash storage offerings. Specifically, DRAM products have witnessed price surges of up to 30%, while NAND flash storage prices have ascended by 5% to 10%. The driving forces behind these adjustments are the constrained supply and a notable uptick in demand from cloud-based enterprises. In the meantime, rivals like Micron and SanDisk have also followed suit, announcing comparable price hikes. Micron, for instance, has raised prices by 20% to 30% and has temporarily halted the acceptance of new orders.
