On September 22nd, Starsemi Technology disclosed on an interactive platform that it is currently in the process of developing its next-generation, high-end intelligent robot chip. Leveraging a cutting-edge 12nm or even more refined manufacturing process, along with a high-performance Neural Processing Unit (NPU), this chip is designed to seamlessly execute on-device AI large models. Furthermore, it will provide robust performance support for pivotal algorithms in robot SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), AI stereo vision-based precise obstacle avoidance, recognition, and control. The chip is anticipated to make its debut and commence market promotion in 2026.
