On September 18, 2025, NVIDIA unveiled a substantial $5 billion investment in Intel, securing common shares at a price of $23.28 apiece. Following the completion of this transaction, NVIDIA is poised to hold a stake of 4% or greater in Intel, thereby emerging as one of its principal shareholders. The two tech giants have also declared the formation of a collaborative alliance. Within the data center domain, Intel is set to tailor-make x86 CPUs specifically for NVIDIA, which will then be seamlessly integrated into NVIDIA's AI infrastructure framework. Meanwhile, in the personal computing sphere, Intel will undertake the production and supply of x86 system-on-chips (SOCs) that incorporate NVIDIA RTX GPU chips, marking a significant step forward in their joint technological endeavors.
