On September 19, the 2025 Suining International Lithium Battery Industry Conference took place. Wu Guogang, a second-level inspector from the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), announced that the MIIT is set to intensify technological innovation efforts within the lithium battery sector. This includes expediting the strategic deployment of cutting-edge technologies and fostering the research, development, and industrialization of solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, all-climate batteries, fast-charging batteries, as well as crucial materials.

Moreover, the MIIT aims to achieve significant advancements in active safety early warning systems grounded in thermal runaway models. Efforts will also be directed towards the creation of high-performance, flame-retardant battery materials and the development of efficient, eco-friendly fire-extinguishing solutions, culminating in the establishment of a comprehensive, multi-layered safety technology framework. Additionally, the MIIT will actively bolster international collaborations and facilitate the high-quality overseas expansion of the industry.
