On September 15, BOCOM International released a report indicating that the installed capacity of power batteries in Mainland China sustained its growth trajectory in August, with exports maintaining strong momentum. The installed capacity for that month hit 62.5GWh, marking a 32.4% year-on-year increase and an 11.9% month-on-month rise. Regarding battery exports, a total of 22.6GWh was shipped overseas in August, reflecting a 23.9% year-on-year surge but a slight 2.6% month-on-month decline. Exports constituted 16.8% of the month's total sales volume. The report highlighted that solid-state batteries are transitioning from the laboratory to mass production verification stages. Emerging sectors like low-altitude aviation, robotics, and AI are paving the way for new market opportunities for these batteries, thereby expediting their industrialization. It is recommended to closely monitor the progress and investment prospects associated with the industrialization of solid-state batteries.
