SK Hynix announced on Friday that its next-generation High Bandwidth Memory 4 (HBM4) chips have passed internal certification and that a production system has been established for customers, aiming to sustain its lead over competitors. As a key supplier to AI giant NVIDIA, SK Hynix delivered samples of 12-layer stacked HBM4 chips to customers in March this year and plans to complete production preparations for 12-layer HBM4 products in the second half of this year.
