Recently, SmartSens, a leading domestic CMOS image sensor manufacturer, has introduced its latest innovation—a 50-megapixel mobile CMOS image sensor with a 0.7μm pixel size, named the SC535XS6. Leveraging the advanced SmartClarity-SL Pro technology platform and built on a 28+nm Stack process, this sensor boasts exceptional performance characteristics, including a high dynamic range, minimal noise, rapid focusing capabilities, and ultra-low power consumption. These features make it well-suited for capturing high-frame-rate dynamic videos.

The sensor's maximum dynamic range extends up to 80dB, coupled with a sensitivity of 1904mV/lux*s. Its read noise is impressively low, measuring less than 1e-, which is approximately 46% lower than that of competing products in the market. The SC535XS6 offers dual focusing modes: AllPix ADAF for low-light conditions and Sparse PDAF for everyday lighting scenarios, ensuring optimal performance across various environments.

Additionally, the sensor supports on-chip pixel reorganization technology, which significantly reduces the computational burden on mobile System-on-Chips (SoCs) and enhances the efficiency of AI-driven image processing. Primarily targeted at high-end flagship smartphones, the SC535XS6 will be deployed in telephoto and wide-angle cameras, thereby elevating the overall imaging capabilities of these devices.
