Intel recently acknowledged that its high-end desktop CPUs face stiff competition from AMD's Ryzen 9000 series but reassured that its next-generation Nova Lake series will offer a robust countermeasure. After the reveal of the 28-core variant of the Nova Lake-S desktop CPU, a more powerful 52-core version has now come to light. This 52-core chip is achieved by integrating two standard Nova Lake-S chips into a single package, with each chip boasting 8 P-Cores, 16 E-Cores, and an additional 4 LP-E Cores, summing up to a total of 52 cores. Furthermore, an engineering sample of this chip has already achieved a frequency of 4.8GHz, and it is anticipated that QS (Qualification Samples) will be launched in the second to third quarter of 2026, with the potential for frequencies exceeding 5GHz.
