While landing at Plovdiv Airport in Bulgaria, the aircraft carrying European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen encountered GPS signal interference, disrupting the navigation system. As a result, the crew had to rely on traditional paper maps to guide the plane to a safe landing. A spokesperson for the European Commission confirmed that the interference hindered the standard landing procedures.
