During the second quarter of 2025, global shipments of PC GPUs surged to 74.7 million units, marking a 4.9% increase year-on-year. This uptick was fueled by an 11% growth in desktop discrete GPU shipments and a 2.5% rise in mobile GPU shipments. NVIDIA emerged as a standout performer, experiencing a notable 4.3 percentage point increase in market share, now commanding 24% of the market and leading the discrete GPU segment. Conversely, both AMD and Intel saw declines in their respective market shares. Despite Intel maintaining its top spot in the overall market, its growth is heavily reliant on integrated GPUs, with discrete GPUs contributing minimally. Furthermore, global PC CPU shipments witnessed a 7.9% year-on-year increase. AMD continued its robust growth trajectory, achieving a 27% year-on-year increase, while Intel's growth rate remained modest at 2%.
