Recently, the RTX 50 series graphics cards have encountered two consecutive capacitor explosion incidents, with the RTX 5090 being the first to experience such an issue in this series. According to a Reddit user, while editing videos with their RTX 5090, a capacitor on the card unexpectedly exploded, causing nearby heat sinks to deform. Notably, the graphics card's temperature was below 70 degrees Celsius at the time, and the system was operating stably. Preliminary investigations indicate that the explosion might be attributed to the quality of components or welding defects on the part of the manufacturer. Fortunately, the user has been granted authorization for an official return.
