In August 2025, the People's Court of Pudong New Area declared Shanghai Wusheng Semiconductor Group Co., Ltd. bankrupt. The liquidation proceedings were subsequently terminated due to the company's paltry asset collection of 1,100 yuan, compared to bankruptcy expenses amounting to 1,263.03 yuan, and the absence of any other executable assets. Established in 2021 with a registered capital of 10 billion yuan, the company had initially envisioned investing 18 billion yuan in the construction of a semiconductor project in Shanghai. However, within less than two years of its inception, the company's parent entity, Wusheng Electronic Technology, declared bankruptcy in 2024, while another semiconductor subsidiary completed its own bankruptcy liquidation in 2023.
