The Ethereum Foundation has announced the suspension of its Ecosystem Support Program (ESP), an initiative launched in 2018 that awarded nearly $3 million to over 100 projects through open grants. In a Friday announcement, the Foundation stated that this move aims to transition towards a more proactive and forward-thinking strategy, with the unveiling of a new strategic framework set for the fourth quarter of 2025. During the interim, the ESP team will maintain support for current grantees and offer non-financial assistance.
