The saga surrounding the theft of TSMC's 2nm technology has reached its conclusion. According to the local judiciary, a former engineer named Chen, upon joining a Japanese company, allegedly procured TSMC's 2nm core technology data through the involvement of engineers Wu and Ge, who remained employed at TSMC. On August 27, Chen, Wu, and Ge were indicted and sentenced to 14 years, 9 years, and 7 years in prison, respectively.
