TSMC maintains its pioneering role in advanced semiconductor manufacturing, with plans to commence mass production of the 2nm N2 process this year, followed by the 1.6nm A16 process. The company is also preparing for the 1.4nm A14 process, marking another significant milestone in its technological roadmap. The construction of TSMC's 1.4nm process factory has now been officially scheduled. Given a construction cycle of two years, the Central Taiwan Science Park Administration has announced that earthworks and hydraulic works for the second plant within the park are anticipated to conclude by the end of September, paving the way for TSMC to commence construction in October. The A14 process is designed to enhance performance while minimizing power consumption, underscoring its critical importance to TSMC's future growth strategy.
