On August 28, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued a directive aimed at promoting high-quality urban development. The directive highlights the importance of optimizing the layout of computing power facilities and bolstering the coverage of fifth-generation mobile communication networks (5G) and gigabit optical networks to accelerate the development of new urban infrastructure. Furthermore, the directive proposes enhancements to the modern integrated transportation system, including improving intercity and intra-city commuting efficiency, refining transfer facilities at transportation hubs, and strengthening the construction of public amenities such as parking spaces and charging stations. Additionally, the directive addresses various facets, such as refining urban water resource allocation and upgrading the water supply security management system.
