SanDisk has recently introduced the WD Blue SN5100 SSD, succeeding the popular WD Blue SN5000 model. Retaining the PCIe 4.0 interface, the SN5100 boasts a significant 30% performance enhancement over its predecessor. Available in an M.2 2280 form factor with a sleek single-sided design, this SSD is powered by SanDisk's proprietary controller and equipped with Kioxia's advanced BiCS8 QLC NAND flash memory. It supports nCache 4.0 technology and offers a range of capacities from 500GB to 4TB, delivering maximum sequential read speeds of 7100MB/s and write speeds of 6700MB/s. The product is now available internationally, albeit with a price increase of over 20%.
