On August 27, Reuters reported that United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bensent clarified that the U.S. government currently has no intention of investing in the semiconductor manufacturer NVIDIA. In an interview with Fox Business, Bensent emphasized that NVIDIA does not require financial assistance from the government, hence the investment proposal is not being entertained. Nevertheless, he did not entirely dismiss the possibility of investing in other crucial industries.
