A ceremony was held in Macao today to award plaques to national key laboratories. Mr. Ho Fai Chim, the Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, remarked that with the backing of the central government, the four national key laboratories in Macao have successfully completed their restructuring and were honored with plaques, underscoring the nation's commitment to fostering scientific and technological advancement in Macao. The SAR government will synchronize efforts in science and technology, talent development, and industrial growth. It will also propel the construction of the Macao-Zhuhai International Education City and the Science and Technology Research and Development Industrial Park, aiming to bolster Macao's scientific and technological prowess and diversify its economy. Furthermore, the government plans to establish industry funds and scientific and technological achievement transformation funds to nurture the high-tech sector and deepen technological innovation cooperation with the mainland.
