On August 26, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released data indicating that in the first seven months of this year, telecommunications business revenue grew by 0.7% year-on-year, while the total business volume surged by 8.9% year-on-year. The number of gigabit users continued to expand significantly. By the end of July, the total number of fixed Internet broadband access users had reached 686 million, with gigabit broadband users comprising one-third of this figure. Furthermore, the construction of 5G networks is progressing steadily, with 5G base stations now accounting for 36% of all mobile base stations, and 5G users making up over 60% of mobile phone users.
