On August 26, Cambridge Technology released a statement addressing the unusual fluctuations in its stock trading, clarifying market concerns pertaining to its CPO and LPO operations. The company emphasized that it is not currently manufacturing chips utilizing CPO technology. The core components related to CPO, including optical engines and external light sources (ELSFP), remain in the collaborative research and development (R&D) phase, as well as the design stages, and have yet to generate any business revenue. With regard to the LPO business, while samples have been dispatched for testing to several major customers in North America, the total orders and shipments recorded in the first half of 2025 accounted for a mere 0.03% of the company's operating revenue for the same period, contributing minimally to the company's current financial performance. Cambridge Technology urged investors to approach the company's advancements in emerging technology fields with a rational perspective, avoiding overestimating the impact of related businesses on short-term performance, and to be mindful of the risks associated with uncertainties in business implementation.
