Microsoft has announced that it will terminate support for its popular document scanning application, Microsoft Lens, by the end of 2025. Users will be directed to utilize the company's Copilot AI chat software instead. Microsoft Lens, which swiftly converts paper documents and other materials into digital files, has garnered significant acclaim from users. As per Microsoft's announcement, Lens will cease service on iOS and Android devices on September 15th and will be removed from app stores on November 15th. Users will still be able to perform scans until December 15th, after which no new scans will be permitted. However, it's worth noting that Copilot does not offer all the functionalities of Lens, such as saving scans directly to OneNote, leading to some dissatisfaction among users.
