Yuchen Jin, co-founder and CTO of AI cloud services firm Hyperbolic, shared on social media that his colleagues at OpenAI were enthused about the company's latest initiative. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has unveiled plans to award bonuses totaling up to $1.5 million to each employee over the next two years. Reports emerging early Friday morning indicate that OpenAI is distributing bonuses to approximately 1,000 employees within its technology research and engineering teams, comprising roughly one-third of its total workforce. These bonuses range from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars.
